Director of Safety and Risk Management – Irvine, CA

We have a new employment opportunity for a Director of Safety and Risk Management in Irvine, California.  This position is responsible for identifying potential risks to personnel and facilities by evaluating hazards, prioritizing areas for safety improvement and coordinating activities required to meet legal requirements. The position also identifies environmental risk and provides comprehensive protective measures as appropriate for adverse event prevention. 

The Director of Safety and Risk Management will have oversight of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs as well as the Education Department and Case Management if applicable.

Roles and Responsibilities;

• Reviews and assists with all incident investigations.
• Maintains impeccable risk management and safety performance by ensuring that all departments adhere to OSHA regulations
• Implements programs designed to reduce workers' compensation injuries and illnesses
• Manages administrative and functional activities related to patient and employee safety, claims management, quality outcomes, and infection control

Qualifications;

• At least five years experience in Safety / Risk Management
• Bachelor degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Safety, Nursing, or related field
• Five years of relevant work experience in a healthcare environment
• Solid management experience
